Happy Tuesday, Fashionistas! I hope everyone had a super fab weekend!
I was feeling very creative this weekend, so I made an effort to express that through my attire. It also didn’t help that my cargo camo pants finally arrived; I was just dying to take them out on the town!
I was feeling very edgy, so for starters, I thought I’d do something different with my hair. Very mohawk-esque (or frohawk-whatever you want to call it) and rocker-ish. Perhaps I’m the only one who does this, but sometimes I plan my outfits around my hair. If I’m feeling edgy or creative, I’ll start with the hair and work my way down; this actually helps me envision and create my look!
I also wanted a bright red lip, so I made sure my make-up was neutral so the lip color stands out. I don’t really get into make-up that much, but when I do, I prefer a more natural and effortless look with an occasional bright lip!
I haven’t been able to wear heels at all for the past couple of months because of my foot injury, which blows on a monumental scale. However, I dared to pull out my low heel black suede over-the-knee (OTK) boots, and it was a success! Hey, I’m taking baby steps (almost literally), but I’m getting there. 🙂
I paired my camo cargo pants with the OTK boots and one of my favorite graphic tees. To add a little bit of glam to my look, I threw on a black sequin cardigan over the graphic tee; slipped into my black leather jacket for that extra “rocker, edgy” feel, and I was ready to hit the town!
My mood changed a little bit on Saturday as I was feeling more “eclectic” -I guess that might be the word for it. So I started digging through my clothes and remembered that I bought this cool vintage thrifted blazer last winter. It still had the price tag on it, $5.99 to be exact! So I decided to go with a graphic sweatshirt underneath, paired with an acid wash jean and my black OTK boots.
What do you think?!
Anyway, that caps my weekend! What daring styles do you rock this weekend?!
