So in my quest to make 2017 my healthiest year yet (the 👏🏾 struggle 👏🏾 is 👏🏾 real 👏🏾), I’ve been on a mission to find some tasty snacks to replace my
amazing awful habit of consuming cookies and such during the wee hours of the night.

Any who, I don’t know about you guys, but I have an extreme sweet tooth – especially right before bed! So I’ve been trying to find a way to curb that craving, but in the most healthy way possible. And by gosh, I think I’ve found it! Banana toast!
I recently visited a really cute coffee shop in Soho called Bluestone Lane (super cute btw, and really nice staff), where I had my first ever banana toast. And when I tell you it tasted like it was fresh out of God’s pantry?! I kid you not. It was so simple, yet very tasty. Not to mention, surprisingly healthy. I immediately knew that I needed to re-create this dish at home when those late night cravings hit!
Banana Toast is really simple to make. All you’ll need is the following:
- 1 banana (sliced)
- Your choice of bread (I used those flat bread/pita situations – trying to cut the carbs ya know)
- Almond butter spread
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
And BOOM. #Dassit
So basically, you take the bread (I prefer mine toasted) and spread a little almond butter on it. You’ll then cover the bread and almond butter spread with your sliced bananas. Drizzle some honey all over that thang (not too much though), and top with a dash of cinnamon. That’s literally it. Like, literally….you’re done.
